Conference AI Product Update — April 2026
Conference AI now supports full EU data residency and hot-swappable hosting regions, making the platform GDPR-compliant out of the box and significantly faster for European events.

Conference AI now supports full EU data residency and hot-swappable hosting regions, making the platform GDPR-compliant out of the box and significantly faster for European events. These are infrastructure-level changes — your data can now be stored and processed entirely within Europe, and you can switch regions on the fly without downtime. We also shipped performance improvements across the platform that reduce latency for all customers.
What's New
Feature | What It Does | Why It Matters |
|---|---|---|
EU Data Residency | Store and process all event data within European infrastructure | Full GDPR compliance for EU-based events without workarounds |
Hot-Swappable Regions | Switch your data hosting region on the fly, per event | Run Berlin through Frankfurt and Chicago through the US — automatically, no migration |

EU Data Residency
Conference AI customers can now choose to store and process all event data entirely within Europe. This includes session recordings, transcripts, AI-generated summaries, video clips, speaker data, and attendee insights — everything stays within EU infrastructure.
For organizations subject to GDPR, this eliminates the compliance gray areas that come with processing European event data through US-based servers. You don't need to file additional data processing agreements or build workarounds. You select EU as your region, and everything flows through European infrastructure automatically.
This matters most for enterprise clients, associations with European membership bases, and any organizer running events in the EU who has been told by legal or IT that cloud-based AI tools are a compliance risk. Conference AI's EU residency, combined with our existing zero data retention policies with both Anthropic and OpenAI, means your proprietary conference content never lingers on third-party servers and never leaves the region you've selected.
Hot-Swappable Regions
Hot-swappable regions let you change where your data is hosted without downtime, without migration projects, and without involving your IT team. You can switch regions per event, which means a single Conference AI account can process a conference in Berlin through Frankfurt infrastructure and a conference in Chicago through US infrastructure — automatically, based on how you configure each event.
This is useful for global organizations running events across multiple regions. Instead of choosing one region and accepting higher latency for events on the other side of the world, you get the best performance for each event individually. It also provides redundancy — if you ever need to move data for regulatory or operational reasons, it's a setting change, not a project.
The switch is seamless. No data loss, no processing interruption, no re-upload required.
Performance & Platform Improvements
Reduced latency across all regions, with the most significant improvements for EU-based users
Faster transcript processing times for sessions over 60 minutes
Dashboard load times improved across all account sizes
Improved reliability for RTMP live stream ingestion during multi-track events
Minor UX updates to the content review workflow
Coming Soon
We're building an AI-native content creation experience that turns your conference content into ready-to-publish assets using natural language. Think: tell the platform "create a 30-second LinkedIn clip from the keynote highlighting the AI adoption stats" and get a polished clip back. Social clips, speaker highlights, session recaps — generated from a prompt, not a production workflow.

We're also building an MCP server that connects Conference AI directly to the platforms where you're already creating and distributing content. Instead of exporting assets and uploading them somewhere else, your content flows into your existing tools automatically.
Reply to any Conference AI email or reach out directly if you want early access to either of these.
