Conference AI now supports custom topic tagging and AI-generated tags across all session content. You can define your own categories, apply them across sessions, and search by tag inside Global Search — or let the AI generate tags automatically based on what was actually discussed on stage. Both features are live now on all plans.

What Is Custom Topic Tagging?

You can now apply your own topic tags to any session in Conference AI. Define the categories that matter to your event — "AI in Healthcare," "Regulatory Compliance," "Leadership," whatever fits — and apply them across sessions, tracks, or your entire archive.

Tags are searchable inside Global Search, which means anyone browsing your content library can filter by topic instead of scrolling through session titles. This is especially useful for organizations with large archives where session names alone don't tell you what was actually covered.

It also changes how you package content. Instead of offering "Day 1 recordings" and "Day 2 recordings," you can build topic-based collections — everything on regulatory compliance across three years of events, pulled together in one view.

How Do AI-Generated Tags Work?

If you don't want to tag manually, Conference AI will do it for you. The platform reads each session's transcript and generates topic tags based on what was actually discussed — not what the session title promised, but what the speakers actually talked about.

You can use AI-generated tags on their own, layer them with your custom tags, or toggle between both. This is useful when you're processing a large backlog of content and don't have time to listen to every session before categorizing it.

The AI tags also surface topics you might not have thought to tag. A panel on "supply chain innovation" might also get tagged with "nearshoring," "tariff policy," and "vendor diversification" — because those are what came up in the conversation. That kind of granularity makes your content library significantly more useful for members searching for specific insights.
